    Training Mode

    The Training Mode feature allows users to get familiar with using the Register App. While in Training Mode a user with the appropriate permissions has the ability to create orders, add discounts, use modifiers, edit order information, print receipts, and checkout using limited tenders. A user will also have access to the Open Orders and the Completed Orders tabs but are limited on the actions that are available on those tabs. There is no Home Screen functionality while in Training Mode so a user can NOT access the Management, Reporting, Admin, Timeclock, Loyalty, and More modules.

    Manager Override

    When you are setting up your business in the Portal, one of the first things you do is create Groups for your employees. For example, you probably have groups like Cashiers, Servers, Managers, and Administrators. Within each Group, you set the permissions for what the Users assigned to these Groups will be able to access and the actions they can take. While you can limit the actions available for Groups, not every restricted action will trigger the Manager Override Pop-up. Some actions will simply show an Action Denied Pop-up without the option for a Manager Override.

    How to Checkout Using a Debit Card

    Once you’ve reached the Payment Method Screen, select the Debit Card button at the top of the screen in the navigation ribbon. You must run a debit card through a configured terminal. Manual entry of a debit card is not an option. If you would like to run a debit card for less than the full Sales total, tap the backspace button on the debit card number pad in the center of the screen. Then enter the amount to be charged to the debit card using the numbers on the number pad. Select either the Card button to complete the transaction.

    How to Checkout Using a Credit Card

    Once you’ve reached the Payment Method Screen, the Credit Card button is preselected at the top of the screen in the navigation ribbon. You can choose to run a credit card manually or through a configured terminal. If you would like to run a credit card for less than the full sales total, tap the backspace button on the credit card number pad in the center of the screen. Then enter the amount to be charged to the credit card using the numbers on the number pad. Select either the Manual button or the Card button to complete the transaction.

    How to Checkout Using Cash

    Once you’ve reached the Payment Method Screen, select the Cash Button at the top of the screen in the navigation ribbon.

    How to Use the Signature Screen

    Once the customer has finished signing and the app detects a signature in the Signature Panel, the Next Button will become available and the customer may press Next. They are then taken to the Receipt Screen to complete the Checkout Process.

    How to Use the Tip Screen

    During the Checkout Process, after you have swiped the credit/debit card, or entered the information manually and pressed Next, on the Payment Method Screen, you are taken to the Add Optional Tip Screen. At this point, you will turn the point-of-sale screen so that the screen is facing the customer; the app will automatically adjust the screen so that it is right side up for the customer. The customer can then choose a tip option from one of the following: 15%, 18%, 20%, Custom Tip, or No Tip.

    How to Remove a Tender From a Sale

    After you have added at least one tender to a Sale that is less than the total, that amount and tender type will be displayed in the Receipt Viewer on the Payment Method Screen. To remove this tender, first select the Receipt Viewer button, represented by a Receipt icon, located on the top right side of the screen.

    Login for the First Time

    On your initial login you will be prompted to change your temporary password. If you have more than one register, you will be prompted to select a register based on your register type.

    Closing a Register

    To close your Register, select the Management Button on the Home Screen and then select the End of Day Tab.
